Kids safety tips:
There are many things to watch for and keep in mind when teaching children fire safety tips. This section will be growing and tips will be added to.
some things you may want to go over with kids:
MEETING PLACE:
be sure to set up a meeting place in case of a fire that is near the house, possibly across the road from the house, or at the mailbox.
911 CALLS:
be sure that your children know their home address and phone number, and how to call 911 for emergencies.
FIRE PLAN:
Make a fire plan with the kids, set it up as a game and even have a fire drill. That will help get them used to what to do in an actual emergency.
STOVETOP:
Turn the handles of the pots and pans inward, so its harder for kids to grab the handles.
